Fair Deal Corporation (FDC) was founded by Mr. Anand Chandavarkar to import pharmaceutical dosage forms, specialised infant foods and surgical goods in india.The Company was Incorporated as a private limited company on 23rd September and converted into public limited company on 16th Sept. 1988.

From 1949-1985 Formulation unit was established in Jogeshwari, Mumbai in 1949.In 1963 First product for its ophthalmic and ENT range fairdeal introduced “Vanmycetin Eye Drops”.In 1972 Fairdeal ,makers of the popular Electral brand. In 1974- Govt. of India accepted FairDeal's R&D facilities.In 1977- API plant was empowered at Roha,Maharashtra. At roha, food division plant was set up for the manufacture of specialized infant foods in1984.In 1985 First US FDA approval of API plant at Roha

From 1986-1996 In 1986 The name of the Company was changed to FDC Pvt. Ltd. and thereafter FDC Limited. IN 1987 Company commissioned a new unit at Waluj (Maharashtra) for manufacture of ophthalmic products. In 1989 Started commerical production of Flurbiprofen. In 1991 A biotechnology based R & D division was set up at Waluj.also started production of Timolol Maleate (API). In 1994 -In india ,its the first time ophthalmics in blow-fill-seal packs was introduced by FDC. In 1996 :FDC was awarded for 'Export House' status , also established a specialized & dedicated field force to promote its ophthalmic specialties.

From 1998-2008 In 1998- FDC' s Ophthalmic facility at Waluj, Aurangabad was approved by UK MHRA .In 2002 -First UK-MHRA approval for oral solids facility at Goa. In 2005- FDC receives CE mark approval for its 2 products from DNV - Norway In 2006 Awarded "BEST UNDER A BILLION COMPANIES" - Forbes In 2007 MHRA approval received for Goa- I also re approval received for Waluj. In 2008 Received US FDA nod for two ophthalmic products.

Pfizer has made numerous acquisitions, including of Warner–Lambert in 2000, Pharmacia in 2003 ,Wyeth in 2009 ,king pharmaceuticals in 2010 and In 2012 Alacer Corp.
