Indication
Reduction of pain, fever, inflammation, and stiffness caused by conditions including migraine, osteoarthritis, kidney stones, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, menstrual cramps, tendinitis, and bursitis, primary dysmenorrhea.
Contra Indication
Active Peptic ulcer, GI bleeding, Pregnancy and lactation, Hypersensitivity. Perioperative pain in the setting of CABG surgery.
Caution
Pre-existing CV risk factors or disease e.g. fluid retention, CHF, hypertension. History of GI disease (bleeding or ulcers). Other forms of asthma. Hepatic impairment, closely monitor patients with any abnormal LFT. Renal impairment. Elderly. Lactation.
Side Effect
GI intolerance, rash, rarely jaundice, thrombocytopenia oedema. Vertigo, pruritus, ecchymosis, purpura, fluid retention, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, gross bleeding/perforation, abnormal renal function, haemolysis, hearing disturbances, dysponea.
