Micro Labs Limited is a versatile healthcare organization with a excellent marketing team, which was established in the year 1973 at madras by late Mr. G C Surana, India. It has 14 production sites that include 11 in and around Bangalore, 1 in Pondicherry, 1 in Goa and 1 in Baddi.Micro Labs has been ranked 21 on sales and 10th on Prescription by IMS in the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.

In 80’s the demand for top quality product increased, to fullfill these demand , a second manufacturing plant was incoporated at Hosur, Tamilnadu. in June 1982. The growing success of Micro Labs encouraged Mr. Surana to begin another pharmaceutical unit – Brown & Burk Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd at Complex, Hosur.

In august 1999 to fullfill the growing demand, Micro lab started new manufacturing plant - Micro Nova Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., at Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore. Pondicherry, witnessed the setup of a new unit under the flagship of MICRO LABS LIMITED

A non functioning unit is purchased in Kumbalgodu Industrial Area on Mysore Road in October 2000, and turned it around. currently sustained release medicines are manufactured by this unit.

In January 2004, an automated plant Particularly to handle Penicillin based products, started production at Bommasandra Industrial Area. In the same year Micro labs inaugurate a new facility at Goa Industrial Area, which is formulation plant approved by the US FDA.This Plant contains four units that cater exclusively to the export requirements of Micro Labs. The first unit among all started in november 2004, manufacturing the Oral Solid dosage forms of Cephalosporin.

In july 2006, a state-of-the-art ophthalmic plant, the first of its kind in Asia, was discovered by micro labs. The plant is exclusively designed to manufacture products of ophthalmic range. And this achievement of the plant led the company's collaboration with bausch+Lomb, worlds famous eye care company.
