Indication
Treatment of moderate to severe dementia of the Alzheimers type. It reduces abnormal activity in the brain, improve the thinking ability and help perform daily activities more easily.
Contra Indication
Hypersensitivity.
Caution
Renal impairment, epilepsy, Pregnancy and lactation. Closely monitor patients with recent MI, uncompensated CHF, uncontrolled hypertension. Predisposition to convulsions, conditions that increase urinary pH.
Side Effect
Confusion, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Headache, Insomnia, Agitation, and/or hallucinations. Vomiting, Anxiety, Hypertonia, Cystitis, and increased Libido, Dystonic reactions.
