Indication
Chemotherapy agent, prescribed for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Slows the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.
Contra Indication
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy and lactation.
Caution
Patients with history of liver and kidney dysfunction, severe infections, preexisting drug-induced bone marrow suppression, any allergy, who are taking other medications, children, during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side Effect
Dementia, GI disturbances, hepatic and renal dysfunction, neurotoxicity, rashes, oral and anal ulceration, GI haemorrhage, oesophagitis, conjunctivitis, flu-like syndrome, anaphylactoid reactions.
