Cardiovascular system

The cardiovascular system is responsible for transporting nutrients and removing gaseous waste from the body. Cardiovascular system consists of the heart and the circulatory system. The cardiovascular system includes organs which take up space throughout the body, including the heart and all of the body's veins, arteries and capillaries. The cardiovascular system is basic to life and the beat of one's heart is an automatic function which is controlled by the brain.Structures of the Cardiovascular System are-Heart-The heart is the organ that supplies blood and oxygen to all parts of the body.Blood vessels:-Blood vessels are intricate networks of hollow tubes that transport blood throughout the entire body.Blood:-The blood delivers nutrients to cells and removes wastes that are produced during cellular processes, such as cellular respiration.

Ace Inhibitors and Renin Inhibitors

"An ACE inhibitor (or angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor) is a pharmaceutical drug used primarily for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and congestive heart failure.
Originally synthesized from compounds found in pit viper venom, ACE inhibitors inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (a component of the blood pressure-regulating renin-angiotensin system), thereby decreasing the tension of blood vessels and blood volume, thus lowering blood pressure. Renin inhibitors are a group of pharmaceutical drugs used primarily in treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
These drugs inhibit the first and rate-limiting step of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), namely the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I."
