Allergy & Imune system

An allergy refers to an exaggerated reaction by our immune system in response to bodily contact with certain foreign substances. When an allergen comes in contact with the body, it causes the immune system to develop an allergic reaction in persons who are allergic to it. Allergic reactions occur when a person's immune system reacts to normally harmless substances in the environment. A substance that causes a reaction is called an allergen.

Anti Sera and Immunological

Antisera is blood serum containing polyclonal antibodies. Antiserum is used to pass on passive immunity to many diseases. Passive antibody transfusion from a previous human survivor is the only known effective treatment for Ebola infection (but with little success rate). The most common use of antiserum in humans is as antitoxin or antivenom, to treat envenomation.
Immunological: It deals with the physiological functioning of the immune system in states of both health and diseases; malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders (autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency, transplant rejection); the physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vitro, in situ, and in vivo.
