|Composit uses/ indication of Ditide :|
Mild to moderate cases of oedema, preferred for manintenace therapy. It is sually used in combination with potassium sparing diuretres and is best in cardiac oedema, less effective in renal or hepatic oedema.
Hypertension, CHF, oedema due to CHF.mild to moderate renal and hepatic impairment
|Composit contra indication of Ditide :|
Severe renal and heaptic impairment, refrectory edema, hyperkalaemia allergy ro thiazides.
Hypersensitivity. Pre existing hyperkalaemia. Severe renal or hepatic impairment. Respiratory or metabolic acidosis. Lactation
|Composit side effects of Ditide :|
Nausea, vomiting, fatique, urinary problems, drowsiness, electrolyte imbalance and allergic reactions.
Anaphylaxis, rash and photosensitivity. Decrease/increase in potassium level in blood. Elevated Blood Urea Nitrogen, kidney stones and kidney failure. Jaundice, liver enzyme abnormalities, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Decreased platelet counts and anemia. Weakness, fatigue, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.
|Composit caution of Ditide :|
To be used in combination with potassium sparing diuretics.
Renal and hepatic impairment, cirrhosis, DM, hyponatraemia, hyperuricaemia, history of nephrolithiasis, depleted folic acid stores. Monitor electrolyte concentrations closely, especially potassium levels. Observe for signs of liver damage, blood dyscrasias or other idiosyncratic reactions. Discontinue treatment if urinary calculus is passed. Pregnancy and elderly.
