Indication
Depressive symptoms, migraines, tension, headaches, anxiety attacks and some schizophrenic symptoms. reduces aggression and violent behaviour.
Contra Indication
Hypersensitivity to tricyclic antidepressants, History of myocardial infarction, Cardiac arrhythmias, Congestive heart failure, Mania, Severe liver disease, Breast feeding.
Caution
Patients with history of hepatic, cardiac & renal diseases. Ability to drive or operate heavy machinery may be impaired. may induce suicidal tendency in depressed patients.
Side Effect
Dry mouth, constipation, epigastric distress, urinary retention, blurred vision, palpitation, sedation and mental confusion, fine tremors, seizure threshold is lowered. Postural hypotension.
